One of the main awards of the 1st Kyoto International Film and Art Festival the Toshiro Mifune Award was given to Koji Yakusho on Sunday 19th October! 

The award winner was selected by a jury committee formed by representatives of the Japanese film industry to be given to actors who play a major role on the world’s stage, in honor of Toshiro Mifune, the first Japanese actor to have a global impact.
