This competition gives “excellence awards” to staff, directors, camera operators, and actors involved in the creation of films of any genre including live action and animation, any category, and any length. We will discover and develop the next generation of talented creators by seeking a broad range of entries for the Kyoto International Movie Festival as we do for the Okinawa International Movie Festival.
For recipients of “excellence awards,” Yoshimoto Kogyo will back up the production of their next work. Yoshimoto will pre-select “excellence award” candidates from submissions to screen during the movie festival. “Excellence award” candidate’s work will be screened at Ooe Nougakudou, one of the film screening venues for the festival.
Manganiku to boku, financed by Yoshimoto and directed by Kiki Sugino, a winner of Creator’s Factory Award at the 5th Okinawa International Movie Festival, will have a world premiere at Kyoto International Movie Festival.
Art Section
- Former Rissei Elementary School
-
In the art category, we seek submission of challenges by artists working in different genres. In the “general category,” we will accept submissions in art genres such as painting, crafts, photography, and formative art. We will also have a “children’s category” to exhibit drawings done by children on drawing paper.
Judges will select work from both the general and children’s categories, and selected artwork will be screened or displayed at Former Rissei Elementary School.
Selections from exhibited work will win “Creators’ Factory Excellence Awards,” and great prizes are in store for the recipients. We look forward to challenges from artists and children who will lead Japan and the art world in the future.
